Interested in becoming a Private Investigator?
To become a licensed Private Investigator in Ontario, you must
1Complete our required 50 hour approved online course.
2Once completed, you will receive a training completion number and be eligible to apply for your Ministry examination and obtain your licence.
3Once licensed, you may work as a Private Investigator.
Canadian Private Investigation Services Ltd. Online Training provides you with current and up to date methods of learning and acquiring your Ministry Private Investigator License.
The training course must follow the curriculum set out by the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
The course is designed to be completed at the students own pace from the comfort of their own home.
The course will be available 24/7 , and will include all material covered in the curriculum.
It also include some extra topics related to the industry.
Quizzes and exercises will follow each section to make sure you have an understanding of the material covered.
Once you have successfully completed the private investigator training course, you will be provided with a training completion number issued by Canadian Private Investigation Services Ltd. With this number, you will then be able to register for the Ontario private investigator's licence exam.

You register for this exam on www.ontariosecuritytesting.ca
A date and time will be booked at a DriveTest location of your choice.
The exam is 60 multiple choice questions, and you will be given up to 75 mins to complete it.
The test fee is $66.50+hst.
